The Singapore government has initiated a financial aid package of $6000 to help jobless individuals in financial meltdown. The support package was designed to provide temporary relief with the aim of helping jobseekers towards employment again.
Who Is Eligible?
Singaporeans and Permanent Residents can apply for one-off cash assistance provided they are unemployed at the time of application. From the point of application, the applicant must have been clearly and urgently making attempts for employment and/or personal training. Priority will be given to persons who are jobless because of the economy.
Payment Details & Application Process
Presently, the aid would be processed in installments over a few months. Possibly, more support is available to those attending retraining approved by the government. The application process estimates next; it will most likely be done online through government authorizes such as Ministry of Manpower/MOM or Workfare initiatives. Applicants must provide proof that they have lost their job, proof of job searches, or proof that they are enrolled in a training program.
