The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed that payments for Older Person’s Grant for 3 February 2025. Beneficiaries have different payment methods by which they could retrieve their grants from. This enabled them easy access to their monies.
How to Get the Grant
Recipients can access their Older Person’s Grant via:
- Direct Bank Deposit – Those who already linked their grant to their personal accounts will receive payments directly. These payments should clear onto your bank account on its rightful date.
- SASSA Gold Card – With the given card, grants can be withdrawn from ATMs or participating entities, sending them to Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer’s, or USave.
- Post Office Collection – Individuals preferring to receive their grants at post office branches should go to designated branches. You should check if the offices are operating before you visit so as to avoid time wastage.
Important Points for Your Awareness
It is advisable for individual beneficiaries to distribute combined grant collection times throughout the entire day to avail congestion at the payout point. Identification should always be with you, and cards must be active before any use.
If any issues are detected during payment, official grievances can be escalated to SASSA’s helpline, or the nearest SASSA office may be visited and application to raise disbursement issues to that office in-person.
The Upcoming SASSA Payment Dates
Other monthly grants in disbursement, such as Disability and Child Support Grants among others, will be paid further in February sometime. Following the verified SASSA payment scheme helps beneficiaries in business-financial planning. By adhering to proper ways of collection, the funds will be collected in February 2025.
